Navy Oil Spill Cleanup Boats
ANCHOR INNOVATION, INC. AWARDED PURCHASE ORDER
TO MAINTAIN 61 NAVY OIL SPILL BOATS IN SUPPORT OF
THE DEEPWATER HORIZON CLEAN-UP EFFORTS
Virginia Beach, VA July 7th, 2010 - Anchor Innovation, Inc. (Anchor) announced today a Purchase Order from GPC A Joint Venture to provide maintenance and repair support to the 61 Navy Oil Spill Response Boats supporting the Deepwater Horizon oil spill clean-up efforts.
Anchor CEO, Steve Palmer,
stated, “We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to
work with GPC who is an outstanding organization who has served NAVSEA’s Supervisor of Salvage operation for many years. We will
be working closely with Navy Region Southeast, another fine
operation who has taken the lead in Navy small boat maintenance
and training.” Anchor’s initial commitment is a 90-day effort
performing routine maintenance and emergent repairs on the Navy
Utility Boats and Oil Skimmers being utilized from Hopedale, LA
to Pensacola, Fl. Additionally, Anchor will provide logistical
support and planning to ensure these vessels are maintained as
Fully Mission Capable, no matter where they have to operate.
