ANCHOR INNOVATION, INC. SUPPORTS US FLEET FORCES COMMAND IN HOSTING THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ATTACK ON THE USS COLE

Virginia Beach, VA November, 2010 - This past Fall Anchor Innovation proudly supported US Fleet Forces Command in hosting a remembrance ceremony commemorating the 10th anniversary of the attack on the USS COLE.  The ceremony was tied to a year-long effort on behalf of Commander, US Fleet Forces to assess the current status of the Navy's antiterrorism program.

All findings and recommendations were briefed and discussed at the USFF Antiterrorism Flag Summit held 21 October 2010.  The analysis helped shape the Chief of Naval Operation's 2011 Antiterrorism Strategic Guidance, developed core AT Guiding Principles, and work continues on refining a complementing Implementation Plan.  AT Flag Summit Project Manager Chris Powell remarked, "This project has been extremely gratifying.  The open forum discussions amongst numerous Flag officers and an implementation plan closely aligned with the CNO's AT Strategic Guidance will shape the efforts for AT program improvement in the coming years.  Anchor is proud to have played a role in defining this plan."
